Elizabeth has been a music educator for 25 years. Her areas of specialization include World music and drumming, as well as Dalcroze Eurythymics, Orff, and Kodaly methods. She has traveled to Ghana, West Africa and to Ireland to study traditional music and culture and, she has developed partnership programs with regional, national, and international schools.
Her mission as a musician, educator and professional rhythm circle facilitator is to empower people through music and to build community through rhythm. She accomplishes this, through bringing interactive rhythm-based events to at-risk teens, seniors, wellness groups, schools, universities, churches, festivals, and special needs groups, including mentally and physically challenged individuals.
Elizabeth is professional member of an international organization known as the Drum Circle Facilitators Guild. Through this organization she has had the great fortune of collaborating with over 85 facilitators from at least 14 different countries, which has led to presentations at conferences such as the World Parkinson Congress 2006 and the NBC 4 Health Expo 2007 in Washington DC.
As a trained facilitator of scientifically proven protocols such as Health Rhythms™ and Fit Rhythms™, Elizabeth has designed several interactive programs that incorporate drumming, integrated education, and wellness. These programs are adaptable for all populations, all ages, and all levels of musical experience.
