Driana is extremely involved with the Bellydance community in Baltimore as a teacher and dancer but also behind the scenes as an entrepreneur and a show organizer/troupe leader.  

As well as teaching BellyPower(TM) Workshops, Driana became the program and vendor organizer for Baltimore BellyPalooza, as well as a dancer in the BellyMagic Show in 2004. In 2005, she went on to direct the Daughters of Rhea Student Ensemble, leading them through a host of spring/summer of performances that included a Recital, Hon Fest, Friday Night Live on the Avenue, Mayfaire, Meadow Mill Asthma & Allergy Benefit,Yalla: A Celebration of Women in Dance Benefit in Washington, several opening shows for the Outdoors at the Meadow at the Evergreen House with the Baltimore Shakespeare Festival. The Daughters of Rhea Student Dance Ensemble performance schedule culminated with an 11-dancer strong troupe performance at Rakkasah East. In 2005, she also began acting as the Bellydance show organizer with the Baltimore Shakespeare Festival, creating many performance opportunities for local solo and troupe dancers, which she plans to continue in Spring/Summer 2006 and beyond. 

Driana also adds to the dance community as owner and operator of The Oasis at Comics Kingdom, allowing her to share her love and knowledge of costuming with the community (see her article on how to fit a costume in the newsletter archive).  She often provides mini-lessons in everything from shimmies to zill basics to inquiring customers. She is generous in promoting area teachers, dancers and performances in her store. Please send her flyers if you want your class or event posted.
